Review on 4-Way Flat T-Connector Harness for Honda CR-V - Tekonsha T-One® Compatible by Khalil Hopp

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just a plug and a ground wire to connect sounds easy.

Installation is simple and straightforward. Remove the required panels, connect the supplied connector to the open connector in the vehicle and connect the ground wire. Sounds easy, but it's really difficult to access. The existing plug in the car is taped to something that is barely visible and much less accessible. It's impossible to remove unless you can cut it somehow. Be careful not to cut the wires or damage the connector. Once the connector is loosened, you can connect the included wiring harness connector. Even easy if you could just reach it with both hands. Once you understand how to do this, putting it all together isn't difficult. The instructions go on to say that you must remove the ground stud in order to connect the supplied ground lug. If you can uninstall and reinstall it without crashing it, you're ahead of the game. I decided to drill a new hole in the metal structure where I could use both hands to install the ground wire. I scraped the paint around the hole with a brush and mounted it with a new bolt and nyloc nut. When you get to this step, your house is clear unless you drop one or more plastic siding fasteners into the same chasm that a ground bolt would drop. If you have one, you'll have to decide between reassembling it faster if there isn't enough plastic, or finding a dealer for replacements. Installing the module, routing the wires, and assembling the skin is a breeze, and when you're done everything works fine.
