Review on RH-A3020BK-A Road Case Spring Loaded Recessed Latch: Reliable Hardware Company's Medium Butterfly Black Latch by Benjamin Glasper

Difficult to install but affordable.

I wanted to close the game board pockets with this product. I'm very happy with how it works and lays flat. There aren't many options and this one was good enough for my project. I now realize that some people use rivets to secure hardware, but I would welcome countersunk holes and black screws in the packaging. Maybe offer one product for rivets and another for screws. It will take two levels of milling to sink it fully, which is good, but a jig would help. To install: I used a router and installed the bracket onto the boards. It would have been easier if the boards weren't already assembled so I could work on a flat surface or even install a router table attachment. inside width and outside width. I used a piece of plywood so it doesn't go too deep into my board (again two different depths are needed). This piece of plywood was attached with double-sided wood tape. In hindsight, I wish I had made two separate jigs for two dimensions. It would be easier for me to attach and it would be easier if I had to cut a little deeper having already changed the bracket. Remember that simply setting the jig at 90 degree angles will not give you true outside curves. I used a 1/2" straight drill and it has a larger radius than the curve. Finally, the hardware has rivets running through the back. This causes the unit to wobble. I ended up drilling out some more wood from behind the rivets. on the fitting itself (see fig.) so that it lies flat.
