Look I spent 12 weeks earning my Marine Corps. 12 weeks that still haunt me almost 40 years later. It's a very cheap, crappy symbol of those memories, and it would never get past the bootcamp level I grappled with every day to get that naval rank. Look closely (enlarge) (didn't see it) as it's nothing more than a shiny sticker embossed onto the metal to make it look like it has gold and silver tones in the metal. Then the tips of the eagle's wings don't fill the shape of the outline, again leaving the white open there, and the WHITE is visible from all sides by almost 1/8 inch. When you're not looking directly, the white fringes are like a sore thumb that your eye trips over. What looks like silver metal is just white and gray paint, all with hatching. Then what are the 12 stars? 13 original colonies and the marine corps has always been america to go to champion so why 12 stars in 12 weeks of hell to earn the rank of marine. NO. I don't think it's because the tanners don't bother ringing their bells to buy again.
