We love this product but it just doesn't work. This rating is for a large flap on a 32 inch wide window. The device looks very good. Installation was pretty easy. Be sure to measure the width of the window opening on the sides, not just the bottom. too tight and if we kept it I would have to modify it a bit to have the necessary pressure on each side. The width adjustment is easy. Just two set screws loosen and lock the compression springs inside, and they even include a flathead screwdriver (I think I needed a different one) in the package. The disappointment is that the wing is not very resistant to light winds. The wing opens easily and stays open until the wind dies down. Even when the wing was closed, it let air in the seams. If you live in an area that has very few windy days or generally very mild weather then this door may be for you. But NOT here in the Midwest, where the wind is usually part of everyday life. , whether it's hot or cold. This also includes a cylinder sealer with a viewing window. Noticing the problem with the valve right away we didn't look at the installation to see if it would do and how good it was, but it seemed to do the trick. Therefore we will send the device back. At this price I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the valve to close and stay closed until the pet wants to get in or out. It is possible that smaller flaps give better results. This also applies to the larger valve version. In my opinion they need to rework this valve for better protection from wind and weather.
