Not sure I would trust it to block the door (I would use the buddybar for this as it is a heavier all metal construction). I really trust Saber to block a window or sliding glass door track (assuming the track is in your house, of course). For those purposes, this is a solid four star product. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is because the little metal pin you put in the pre-drilled holes to adjust the bar length is a royal pain. After inserting everything is fine. Assuming you always use the jammer at the same entry point, there is no need to remove the pin. The saber is quick and easy to remove when you're ready to unlock your entry point. I would add that the stem seems thick enough and the adjustable length should be enough for most home security needs. It's great that Saber created this dual function device for doors or windows/sliding doors, but they should have added more. Thought and care in the design of the door silencer, even if it increases the price of the item. Luckily I knew that from other reviews. I bought a Buddybar for my front door and a Saber for my sliding glass door. I would advise you not to skimp on protecting your regular doors with anything less than a buddybar or similar all-metal device (depending on your door type). Metal jammers are certainly expensive, but it's worth it considering they're your first line of defense in the event of a break-in or home invasion. You want the best for the most common forced logins. For protecting windows and sliding glass doors, this Saber seems to strike the right balance between cost and security. Take care!
