Review on 🚵 GANOPPER MTB Crank Arm Set: Top-notch 104 BCD Square Taper Mountain Bike Crankset in 152mm, 165mm, and 170mm by Bob Vulpes

This was a fun 1x upgrade for my kid's Cannondale 24. It has a thick/thin chainring, similar to SRAM, which successfully prevents chain derailment. The cranks have high-quality threads for mounting pedals. When installed "right" it runs smoothly, but it's not a perfect design. Tightening the sprocket bolts to an acceptable level will force the teeth of the sprocket into the spider, causing the chain to derail instantly. The photo shows how the chain goes along the ring under the cross. As a result, you can only "tighten" the screws to avoid this problem. I used a blue latch on the screws to keep them from coming out and had no problems. The crank and the chainring are delivered unassembled and without installation instructions. The crank also does not come with screw caps. The one in the photo is from an old connecting rod. So there are some downsides but I still think this is a good product for a kids bike.
