gap 30 teeth. Sprocket/Crankset

152mm cranks are good on their own. In combination with the 30T chain, if you look closely at the product images, you can see that the distance to the chain is very small. On a 1x8 setup with a standard 7.1mm chain, the chain will catch on the edge of the crank. I bought a 32T sprocket instead which has enough play. Too bad because I was hoping to go in a lower gear.

Pros
  • This is awesome
Cons
  • Requires bushing

Extremely high quality product

Very good deal very nice I have 152mm 34 teeth and the finish is high quality the threads are the best I have seen so I am happy with this crank and it's worth it and looks good better than any other cranks on the market update this crank is amazing my ebike has 170mm of leverage and the new 152mm is lighter on the knee so in many ways I am happy with this crank , she is a work of art.

quality chain. Be careful with slight bends!

I wish I had a larger sprocket but I didn't know anything about the gearing when I bought the 32 tooth version. I'm totally satisfied though because the 32 tooth front with my 18 tooth makes for a very easy start and I'm on a motorized bike so I really only have to pedal about 5 seconds from a standing start and the ease of kicking thanks Transmission too low makes kevin a happy boy.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Nothing

Works well with my Specialized Rockhopper

Conclusion: Feels quality, looks clean, they bulge out of the frame a bit more than the stock cranks on my bike but feel no different. The base model Rockhopper had 175mm cranks, but the 170mm cranks are pretty much the same. Remember that you will need to purchase a crank removal tool. The chainring can be either outside or inside, I had to put it inside to help with my chain. Narrow wide teeth are wide to the tip of the tooth. If I were running 11 or 12 rear gears with a thinner chain I would

Works best for sports

My son's HARO MTB originally came with a 28T crankset which I felt was too low. The bike had no top speed, and the lower gears were useless when going uphill. The bike had a tendency to hop in low gear on a steep slope. So I switched to a 36T crank instead. The item arrived as advertised. To attach the crank guard, I rotated the front ring to the inside of the crank and the guard to the outside of the crank. This allowed me to get the chain gap to work. This is pictured. Good product but has some quirks

This was a fun 1x upgrade for my kid's Cannondale 24. It has a thick/thin chainring, similar to SRAM, which successfully prevents chain derailment. The cranks have high-quality threads for mounting pedals. When installed "right" it runs smoothly, but it's not a perfect design. Tightening the sprocket bolts to an acceptable level will force the teeth of the sprocket into the spider, causing the chain to derail instantly. The photo shows how the chain goes along the ring under the cross. As aโ€ฆ
