3 families of cats: I have had several different types of cat carriers. I love how sturdy this carrier is because it's soft and foldable. It folds flat to approximately 11" x 17" making it easier to store than rigid containers. The mesh ends and upper allow my cats to see clearly which reduces their anxiety when traveling. Also, the fact that the sides can be folded down to give extra room to move inside is helpful when cats need to spend more time in the carrier. I haven't owned it long enough to say how the material will hold up to wear. Cats will scratch the material inside, but the mesh feels heavy enough to withstand some abuse. My 15 lb cat fits, my 12 lb cat is more comfortable and the white cat in the photo is only about 6 months old and weighs 5 to 6 lbs.
