I'm so used to using Liquitex paints but based on the reviews I gave them a try because I liked the colors. I wasn't happy at all. These colors were a big problem for me. Maybe it was because I had already started painting Liquitex and wanted to finish with Craft Smart paints. I used to mix brands with no problem. Both myself and my adult daughter (a talented artist) were very disappointed. Those colors became translucent to both of us. Craft Smart simply DOES NOT overlay existing (dry) paint - no matter how many coats of paint we used. After trying to work with the Craft Smart product for several hours, we both felt that our images were ruined. We were both ready to leave her. After a few days we decided not to let Craft Smart paint overwhelm us and ruin the mother and daughter's rare time together (she lives 3 hours away). In the end we went back to Liquitex and started painting again. Luckily, Liquitex easily covered the mess with Craft Smart, but we were both so disappointed with this brand and had to start over that it wasn't as comfortable as everyone else. more. In the end, I was happy with how it turned out for me, but my daughter was very disappointed because she couldn't complete her vision. Usually she put a lot of effort into perfecting her masterpiece, but this time she just wanted to get it over with. What a big disappointment. Sorry Craft Smart, I was going to give your product zero stars, but I decided to do it. Maybe . MAY BE . If we ONLY used Craft Smart paint everything would be fine. May be. But I'm definitely not ready to try.
