The colors are wonderful and dry quickly! Experimenting, I found that the gel pen writes remarkably well on dried paint. And for easy packing on the go, more than half fits in a standard-sized lunch box! The two downsides are some colors need more than one coat, maybe two or three to get full opacity and there are streaks but not too many.

I don't usually write "previews" for items but I have high hopes for this one, I'm giving 5 stars upfront because I saw a video of this paint in action . Mix it with some water and rub it into the body of the guitar with a plain shop towel. This color seemed to work well and I was really excited by the idea of making my own colors. I will post an update with photos when my project is complete.

I doubt you'll find a better collection of acrylic paints for the money than this. They are great for miniature dry cleaning, mixing and general use. They're not the best, but for the price you can't beat them. And the color change from wet to dry is minimal, so you can avoid the regrets that can come with other craft paints. I've been using it almost every day since it came out and I'm very happy with it.

I'm so used to using Liquitex paints but based on the reviews I gave them a try because I liked the colors. I wasn't happy at all. These colors were a big problem for me. Maybe it was because I had already started painting Liquitex and wanted to finish with Craft Smart paints. I used to mix brands with no problem.
