Unpleasant Protein

I'm always willing to try new protein delivery systems, but sometimes they just don't work for me. Too bad I didn't read the ingredients before I ordered it. 24g of protein in a 72g serving? 38g of carbs, including 17g of sugar from organic brown rice syrup and organic cane sugar, is overkill. But sometimes I can turn a blind eye to it when there's flavor and texture. My wife loves it when I make her a banana/peanut butter/protein powder smoothie, and she's not as concerned about sugar as I am, so maybe that could be the protein base. Two minutes later: Tin. It seems to mix well with milk in a blender bottle, but immediately tastes artificially sweet and extremely bitter. The? It gets a little better after a few sips, but eating protein shouldn't be an endurance sport. I hate being wasteful (especially when it's twice the price of muscle milk), but it goes straight in the trash. Added bonus: I dropped the bin on the porch on the way to the trash can and spilled about half. I was late for work because of cleaning. I won't count this on my account, but maybe the universe is trying to tell me something.
