Dated/Works/Consider flat mountain bike pedals instead
That's exactly what was promised. The pedals are the same as on my 40 year old cruiser. Plastic toe clips are lighter than steel. However, before you buy, consider buying flat-mount mountain bike pedals that have small screws protruding from the cleat. These screws hold your foot almost as tight and you don't run the risk of your foot loosening and falling off the pedal.
