I must have been lucky. The firmware was updated right out of the box with no issues. Connectivity wasn't a problem for me either. I've used the trainer with Zwift, The Sufferfest, and Rouvy; One problem I had was with the Rouvy program. When setting up in the Rouvy menu, the program didn't register any speed or power when I selected the control model in the Rouvy menu. I tried selecting Smart Control from the menu and haven't had any problems since. Prior to this purchase I had run a road car for many years with a standard magnetic flywheel system with an optional heavier flywheel add-on and I absolutely loved it! It took a lot of trial and error to get the bike (almost) perfectly balanced/centered on the reel so I wasn't leaning too far to one side.
