This normally would be a simple job to replace a defective air switch. But, in my case, I had to create a small access opening next to my jetted/ air bubbler tub in order to reach in, remove the old switch, and replace it. My ability to reach in to remove the old and to install the new was severely limited due to the angle of my hands and the reach that I had. In any case, I was glad that I got the extra-long switch (I think it is 2.5 " long -- because I could angle it a bit and then just barely screw on the retainer ring. If I had gotten the shorter version of this switch, I don't think I would have been able to get the retainer ring started onto the threaded body. (My hand was at an extreme angle to the switch, and I was working blind.)The new air switch works fine. It pops up like it is supposed to after being pressed down. My old switch was stuck in the down position and would not pop back up.
