Do not buy this if you plan to use the remote control
have been trying to call fanimation for months for advice on installation as the instructions are not clear. After my return window passed I finally got someone on the phone only to find out that this controller doesn't work if you want to use the remote control that came with your fan. It would be really helpful to know this before buying. or until the return window closes. Now I'm stuck with this switch I don't need. what a waste!
