We love Joseph Joseph products: consistently innovative, functional and durable. In this case, the rubber finger that holds it to the rim of the sink is an easy and handy way to keep this tool handy and hold it upright to drain the bristles so they don't cook in the bacteria-producing moisture in the fold-out compartment of the Kitchen sink. While some sink rims require a longer finger to hold the brush on the hook, it works great on our stainless steel sink. The silicone tip is the key to grip. Compared to scrubbers with built-in soap dispensers, I was looking for a slim nozzle that would fit in glassware and fill the bill. My only disappointment is that these bristles are sparse and soft, so the cleaning action is more perfunctory and works best on glassware and lightly soiled dishes; this. not as versatile as the scrubbers we've had in the past. For pans and burnt food, you'll need a stiffer bristle brush or scouring pad. I expect this brush to be less strong and not as durable as our similar OXO brand brushes (each of which has worn down over time). But the utility of the handle design adds functionality to our sink, and the $10 price tag justifies the experiment. If it had been higher, I probably would have given up on this purchase and continued using OXO.
