Fine filter. Easy installation. If you have an outboard you may need a second fill light. This is a large filter and difficult to push or suck through a single pot. This is possible, but works best with a light bulb at the front and rear. Also, ignore any spikes and hardware that Revain tells you to purchase. Everything you need, except mounting hardware, is included. The problem is that I can't find a replacement filter anywhere. The filters offered by Revain do not use a transparent shell. The Sierra filter is only 20 microns and does not use a bowl. Without a clear bowl, you won't see if you have significant water retention. A comparable Racor filter only comes with a reusable bowl and costs significantly more than the entire unit. After much internet searching, the cheapest solution I could find was to just buy another full block and throw away everything but the filter. So this cheap filter element may not be the cheapest in the long run. Disappointing the lack of a replacement filter.
