Reading the reviews I was a bit hesitant to buy this. Many reviews seemed to mention that they worked well at first, but stopped working after a short while. I have not experienced such problems. I installed two nodes almost a month ago and added a third one about a week ago. Installation was quick and easy. Before I switched to them, I had a fairly highly rated router/extender combo. I'm on a 150Mbps download/25Mbps upload plan and have never come close to that despite being only 35ft from my router. My house is small, but there are a lot of concrete/brick walls between the router and most of the house. The router itself worked well in most rooms, hitting about one-third to one-half of my maximum scores. There were some "dead zones" where I could only get 5Mbps/1Mbps, so I tried an extender. It worked fine, but 20/5 speeds were unacceptable. Since the price was finally reasonable, mesh WiFi seemed worth a try. So I wasn't disappointed with the results. Now I can draw at least 50/10 anywhere in my house and haven't had any connection issues. Not to mention that the nodes are small and pretty well designed. They don't stand out regardless of the setup and are well built. My only issue with this system is the amount of control you have over it. The app doesn't really offer a lot of customization options, although it offers what most people need. You can change the SSID and password, show and block devices, switch between PPPoE/DHCP/static IP/Bridge modes and change some other basic settings. Even adding things like the ability to connect to the 5GHz or 2.4GHz bands and a web portal, which will likely add more customization options, would be great additions.
