Assembly: This thing was a nightmare to put together. It uses mostly cam screws/locks for everything. I actually broke one of the cam locks because they are like a cheap hard plastic. I had to be very careful not to tighten them too much or risk breaking more. This didn't really make sense to me because that is how the whole thing is held together. Why cheap out on the screws/locks? The boards are very thin and easily damaged. It took me way too long to put this together than I want to admit. I thought about calling it quits after the cam lock broke but there were some spare parts.Thoughts: The quality just isn't there. I only gave it this rating because of the price range. For the price range and the size of the product then I should have expected this quality and sturdiness. This is fine if it is not your main living room piece but I do not trust it with much weight beyond a few toys and a cat sitting on it. I put it off to the side to store cat toys and it acts more of a cute conversation piece than anything else.
