I recently bought a new desktop for my office with windows 10. One in a landscape, the other in a portrait. The new desktop only had an HDMI output along with a VGA output. None of my monitors have a VGA input, and I don't think it's a good idea to use such a high resolution over an analog VGA cable anyway. I bought this adapter to connect a second monitor. It outputs over HDMI but includes an adapter for output to DVI. There are cheaper alternatives that output at 1080p, but I want a QHD option and this one said it. . This adapter works perfectly. No flicker, no blurred lines or text. It works as if the PC had a second HDMI output built in. I turned off the PC, plugged the adapter into the USB 3 port, connected the HDMI cable from the adapter to the monitor, and turned on the PC. It worked right away without installing additional drivers or changing settings. Perfect and painless. If you're running Windows 10 and need an additional HDMI output on your PC that supports QHD resolution, that's great for me and I think it will be for you too.
