This memory worked as expected and solved the problem for me. I had 4 gigabytes of RAM on my Windows 7 machine, but about a year ago I started getting memory errors. The 4 gigs were split into two 2 gig parts but they were from 2 different manufacturers. I finally found the time to do some tests. I've found that each 2 gigabyte chunk will work fine on its own, but together they generate an error. From this I concluded that I had an incompatibility issue trying to run memory from two different manufacturers. I solved the problem by buying and installing 2 identical memories. I did that and the problem went away.
