Fulfilled as expected; solved the problem

This memory worked as expected and solved the problem for me. I had 4 gigabytes of RAM on my Windows 7 machine, but about a year ago I started getting memory errors. The 4 gigs were split into two 2 gig parts but they were from 2 different manufacturers. I finally found the time to do some tests. I've found that each 2 gigabyte chunk will work fine on its own, but together they generate an error. From this I concluded that I had an incompatibility issue trying to run memory from two different…

Doubled RAM in Dell XPS 410

After much research this is the right pair of RAM to double what I had on board in 2 full DIMMs on my DELL XPS 410. the ram looks different, this set has all the chips on one side but the one that came from dell has all the chips on both sides. But as long as you buy them in pairs, they should be plug and play. One thing, the 2 open DIMMs on my motherboard were filled with lint and I couldn't blow them out with compressed air. I ended up using a fabric softener sheet and it pulled out the lint…

Having worked on a computer for most of my adult life, I think I just haven't been paying enough attention to RAM. I swapped out a few sticks that were 100% tested but just didn't work properly. Have used the Crucial brand and immediately noticed a significant increase in performance. Thinking it might be a coincidence, I swapped out the RAM on another computer as well and noticed a performance boost on that one too. The old and new Crucial DIMMs had EXACTLY the same specs so the improvement…

Rare incompatibility!

This is my first Crucial Brand memory problem! There was no problem with the machine's BIOS, but Windows 10 crashed on every boot. I suspect that he has a problem with the times, which is not due to the sellers, not due to the products, but simply due to a rare incompatibility! Installed Hynix sticks to match the OEM sticks and now the machine works fine!

Just what my system needs

Because I switched from XP to Win 7 after April 08, 2014 to avoid "imperial complications"; I've decided to use my current motherboard, processor and graphics card and only upgrade the RAM. This is what I did today as the above items arrived and filed on my system about 30 minutes ago. I ran Belarc Advisor and it showed the new RAM and for now it seems to be working as expected. I kept the 2GB RAM I was using and added the 4GB I ordered, now it's ready for 64-bit as I intended. This memory…

Works great but cheap

Memory worked great in my old Gigabyte MOBO with connector Q9995 775. Upgrading a computer doesn't cost 250. Was spent either 1500 for a new build or 250 for a 16GB computer R.A.M. A new building would be too much of a good thing for my purposes. Now I can use the 8GB that was removed to create another usable machine.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • unreliable
