. Bought for my Subaru Forester (along with tensioners). Subaru actually says they shouldn't put chains on their cars, but in some places they have to be in the car independent of your transmission. Basically, I made them not break the rules. Turns out I really needed her! (Crossing the Cascades in winter can be rough, y'all) They were very unremarkable (which you should have if you have a Subaru: thick chains = big problems) and the ride was actually very smooth, barring blizzard conditions. They worked without problems both when I put them on and when I had to put them on at night, on the side of the road and in the cold. They really aren't too expensive given the other options and I have to say I definitely got a decent boost in traction. You can get better traction with a diamond pattern, but if you just need a little help on the road, they work well enough.
