I received these speakers back in April but I was building a playroom so I was only able to connect them to my computer and use them recently. They sounded pretty good on first use. I love the colors and they change in a way that isn't distracting so it's awesome. Unfortunately, it crackled the next time it was switched on. I didn't turn them on very loud the first time, so I have a hard time believing I blew the speaker at too much volume. And it seems that now the volume does not matter - it crackles when there is sound. I was really frustrated putting together a good computer for gaming, but then the whole sound crackled. =
