Review on 🧩 Optimized Tokyo Time Puzzle by 4D Cityscape by Chris Knight

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I love 4D puzzles with cityscapes!

So far I have completed four 4D cityscape puzzles (London, New York, Berlin and now Tokyo). If you love cities, maps and architecture (souvenir buildings) you will really enjoy these puzzles. Each of the puzzles I've solved so far have reflected each city differently. In a way, London and Berlin were the most interesting from a historical/educational point of view. New York seemed great to me, but in truth there are so many of these skyscrapers that you stop "learning" and just work on building placement. As for Tokyo, a city I don't know that well, I enjoyed realizing the city's layout in relation to its subway system. If you know any Japanese, you'll love that the puzzle includes kana and kanji for street and building names. The 4D puzzles involve stacking three levels of the puzzle, with the first tricky lower level reflecting the map of the city at a much earlier point in time; a second, less complex second layer, now showing a city map; third, small plastic buildings that reflect the architecture of the city over time. While some other reviewers feel that the quality of the tracks sometimes falls short, I don't entirely agree. The quality is good given the complexity. I'm not a fan of jigsaw puzzles (in fact I haven't done them in decades) but I think the level of difficulty in these jigsaw puzzles is just perfect. It takes time (water areas can be difficult), but you definitely want to enjoy the puzzle. I highly recommend them and will be doing a few more of the suggested cities.
