The BCB100 is a two piece construction with a die cast aluminum skin/base and an easy to remove plastic pod with shock bar. The impact beam is non-removable but very easy to clean and is covered in rubber to reduce noise. The aluminum base is heavy and offers solid support when you need to empty your used coffee grounds. for people who do 3-4 shots a day. It can be ground for several days before you have to throw it away.
