Review on VIVO Landscape to Portrait TV Wall Mount: 37 to 80 inch, Heavy Duty Rotating Bracket, Max VESA 600x400, Black by Timothy Castillo

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I like it very much, but there is a design flaw.

This does what it says on the tin and is one of the best and only solutions for a large flat screen TV that allows you to switch fully from landscape to portrait mode (like a monitor). My problem is with a very thin cord pulling on the locking mechanism. It breaks and you're stuck with a very heavy portrait TV and there's no way to fix it without taking the whole TV off the wall and looking for a replacement to put in its place. A serious problem that left me hanging in portrait mode until someone helped me remove it from its mount and find a replacement. The manufacturer really should have supplied a very cheap metal rod or ball chain, not a very flimsy fabric/nylon cord. The product itself is great for rotating the TV, but the buyer should take care to remove this cable before fully installing the TV.

Pros
  • Heavy duty steel construction. Durability tested to securely hold weights up to 110lbs for a secure and durable installation. The mount offers a flat display and keeps the screen just 1.8 inches from the wall.
Cons
  • Uncertain
