Suggestion for installing these plugs

I'll try to explain it in an understandable way. First off, these "plugs" are nylon and are VERY snug. I just built two engines. The first was a real challenge. Second, a piece of the pie. Pulling the engines out of the 1994 Ford Bronco was very easy. I put three strips of tape on the windows to keep them from falling. From inside the window up and over the door frame, then down outside the window. (Or outside-in, your choice.) Be sure to clean the inside of the motor of any plastic debris. I had an almost invisible detail preventing me from replacing the C-Clip. Make sure you have a pair of clamp pliers handy. TEKTON 3572 7" snap ring pliers with hooked outer tip. Otherwise you'll have lots of fun uninstalling and reinstalling c-clip. Now for the stubs. Lightly grease the plugs and use the small gear to stick them onto the metal part at the top. At first I tried putting plugs into the plastic gear but it didn't work. They just kept rolling. Then carefully place the metal piece with the plugs glued on top of the plastic gear. Candles tilt a bit towards the center but that is normal. Then I tapped the cog with a hammer.About halfway through it slides down with no problem. This review is a little long but I hope it helps someone install these stubs.
