This was very easy to assemble as you just insert the pole into the base and everything is set up and ready to go. The wheels light up when you ride it, it's been a huge hit and I hope it lasts. It was a birthday present for a three year old, but his older six year old brother loves it just as much. The bar has three levels of height adjustment which is great for both boys. The steering is a little tricky for a three year old but I'm sure he'll figure it out soon enough. The whole scooter seems to be very well made. The only thing I would like to say is that if you plan on separating the pole from the base you might have some difficulties as they were difficult to take apart once assembled.
