When I look at the description I see that it is faux leather. I should have read more carefully, but if a product is called leather, it should be. I left out the details in the description to avoid downgrading the rating, but I still think it's a little unfair. The tags are very well done. The materials and stitching are much better than I would have expected from the Chinese production. The design is well thought out down to the smallest detail, the construction is solid. They will obviously last a very long time. Two very minor flaws: The hardware on the tags appears to be chrome in the photos but is actually gold in color. Not so hot what's up. Second, the edges of the label (but not the strap) are covered with a vinyl edging that's brushed as if onto flexible paint. It doesn't apply very evenly and in my experience it ALWAYS starts to peel with age and wear. This keeps the labels fully functional but looking worn and losing plastic parts in the process. The tags would have been fine without them.
