I had to replace my DVD (same DVD player as this one) because my original burned out during a power outage so I did ordered one which was factory refurbished and works great only downside is the poor packaging (wrapped in paper and shipped with bubble wrap instead of a box) but overall it works great and I have ordered a second one to keep for just in case happens with it :) I like this DVD player because it is Divx certified for AVI playback.
