This is very good practice!

Bought this drill bit 5 months ago to drill holes in 2 x 8" stacked frames and 6" glued joists for new wiring and 2" electrical wiring in the outhouse of our large home . I used to have a Rigid 18v cordless hammer drill. I burned one of these ridgids (which I liked so much, though, that I bought another) in an adhesive lamella and unscrewed about a dozen drill bits and drill bits. I seemed to need a more powerful drill motor, ideally an angle drill that could accommodate larger diameter drill bits than Irwin and Milwaukee quick-change 1/4 shank drill bits that detach easily. I was thrilled when I discovered the new Milwaukee 28V Cordless Angle Drill! Pros: - It has enough torque and power to drill everything I've attempted, including multiple 2-1/2" holes in thick adhesive sheeting and countless 1-1/4" holes stacked on top of each other . Dimensional timber and glued timber beams. It can be stopped, but it is not easy and it is not permanent; - It accepts 1/2" shank drill bits and 7/16" shank extensions, strong enough not to twist or break when drilling. large lumber; - It's wireless! This convenience allows you to move around the site, and therefore significantly speeds up drilling. This is a true angle drill that fits easily between frame posts and other hard-to-reach places; Chuck, I found I could tighten and loosen it enough by hand and rarely used a wrench. Its disadvantages: - Difficult and inconvenient to change / rotate the drill head. Luckily I don't really have to do that much and maybe never will; I drain a battery pretty quickly. A second battery powered by the charger is a must! - She is heavy; - It's definitely slower than say Milwaukee (with wire) "Hole Hawg" when drilling through a solid piece of wood. During the day, however, it makes up for most of that difference thanks to the convenience and speed that wireless connectivity brings. Angle drive extension that can perform a variety of overhead drilling without a ladder; - The side grab acts like a weak afterthought and quickly pulls the strings. I love this exercise! It has held up well to heavy use over the past 5 months and still works. Its pros far outweigh its cons and I would happily recommend it.
