The filter must be soaked before each use in order for it to work.
I love the size and look of this item but the filter itself doesn't always work. I have to soak the filter for a few hours to get two decent uses out of it. If I don't do this, the water will filter for literally hours, or it won't filter at all until I soak the filter in water again. I've always used filters and never had this problem.
