I currently have 6-4 foot tall twin fluorescent lights in my garage/shop/mankeve. Some of the bulbs were burned out so I planned on replacing them all with LED tube bulbs which meant all the lights were new etc. In the meantime I saw these bulbs and installed one of these as a temporary measure (I only have one currently outlet nearby). ) I could almost get by with one lamp. But since I have many work areas where the position of a light source can cast shadows, I decided to install more outlets and use them for shop lighting. Cheaper and easier to install than lamp mounts. You don't have to, but you can easily have 15-20 of these in a 15 amp circuit (recommended with 75% = 12 amps). Good buy!
