I had high hopes that I could keep this AC3150 router running and not have to deal with the same problems others are having. But no. The 5GHz band disappears and is not visible to devices that require a router reboot (not just a reboot, but a reset) to fix the issue. This is my second AC3150, the first was a V1 which broke after a year and was unresponsive. I was hoping V2 would fix the issues but apparently not. I called TP-Link support to discuss the 5GHz band dropout, but the support rep couldn't even understand the issue I described. I don't think the rep even knew what a router was let alone the difference between the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. After the employee asked me the same scripted question FIVE times, I gave up and decided to return this device.
