Review on πŸ–₯️ Viewsonic VX2000 20.1 LCD Monitor 20.1", HD - High Definition Display for Crisp Visuals by Andre Clarke

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good monitor, nothing more

The Vx2000 is sharper and brighter than my 21 inch Viewsonic CRT at work. my linux desktop 1600x1200 is clearly visible even in bright daylight. My laptop's LCD pales in comparison, as do most CRTs. This monitor weighs less than any other 20-inch LCD, but is well balanced and doesn't move easily. The base elevates the image about 6 feet above the tabletop (take this into account if you plan to place your monitor on a desktop computer case). audio cable, the back cover of the vx2000 must be removed. the back is pitifully cheap for such a high quality product - there isn't even a drawing in the printed or electronic manual showing how to remove the fragile plastic parts. be careful. The speakers and mic work as advertised, but I often turn off the monitor's speakers (a handy dedicated button for that) and put on a headset to improve the sound. I want to stick with the permissions that Viewsonic claims for the vx2000. Even at supported sizes, every time the resolution changes, the monitor pauses for a long time to auto-adjust (at least with the analog graphics card I'm currently using). The vx2000 monitor screen controls can be disabled via the Setup Menu -> Touch Tone option.
