In my days in front of the computer I used #16 blades to create graphic designs. That's exactly what I remember. . . sharp and strong. The tip doesn't break like #11, the cutting edge is smaller so there are fewer accidents. Previously, #11s were only used for cutting foam, but #16s are strong enough for a thick matte board without losing a tip, and were a mainstay of the production designers at the design company I run.
