VW engine housings tend to stick together and nobody wants to ruin their magnesium housing. This splitter wasn't quite the same shape, the curved parts have a smaller curvature than the area it's supposed to sit in, so I think it could have been a bit more efficient, but it's not that much smaller. It worked very well, I spent hours carefully disassembling the case but to no avail. Couldn't even move it a millimeter. I got one of these and it fell apart in 5 or 10 minutes. I'm glad I bought it, it's worth the money and I'll definitely keep it.
