Cheaply made but works

Low quality metal but works as it should. Prevents shells from being separated by other tools damaging sealing surfaces.

A good tool that does the job

A good tool that does the job. The most important thing to remember is to remove ALL body nuts and bolts before use. Otherwise the motor housing can be damaged.

Not quite the right shape; BUT it works fantastic. Indispensable when converting an engine

VW engine housings tend to stick together and nobody wants to ruin their magnesium housing. This splitter wasn't quite the same shape, the curved parts have a smaller curvature than the area it's supposed to sit in, so I think it could have been a bit more efficient, but it's not that much smaller. It worked very well, I spent hours carefully disassembling the case but to no avail. Couldn't even move it a millimeter. I got one of these and it fell apart in 5 or 10 minutes. I'm glad I bought it,
