I owned several Panasonic cameras that showed and recorded simultaneously and a mini mirror system with 4/3 interchangeable lenses. But last time I decided to try Canon aiming. It worked for a while, had touch controls, meaning you keep tapping and re-tapping, messing up the screen. A few days after the 1 year warranty Canon had a black spot on the screen and it would cost $135 to fix so I bought this camera for about $180, it had the best zoom, it uses switches instead of a touch screen. good photos in a small pocket size. Lumix, I'm back and I'm staying! Great little camera. Excellent price. Sorry canon. The only thing Lumix needs is an optical viewfinder so you can shoot outside in the sun! That would be perfect, perfect. Update after 1 year of use - I'm really pissed off with this little camera. My wife uses it and takes better pictures than my DSLR! And it weighs 1/4 the weight and fits in your pocket. The zoom is incredibly good for the size of the camera. This camera is so good it's just not fair!
