For a very long time, I settled on a hard drive that does not require any additional adapters in order to be plugged into new machines. I have the 4TB version, and it has been operational and error-free for the past four months. I work with a huge number of images in raw format; the import process in Lightroom is satisfactory, and the export process is quick. Some pros: usb-c to usb-c speedy uploading and downloading of files (I didn't measure it, but it copies from a flash drive to a hard disk at a rate of 100 GB plus or minus per hour. I consider this to be a satisfactory rate. elegant fashion design Negatives: a protective silicone case for the device would be awesome to have. increases in temperature as a result of copying, etc., but not to an unsafe level
