It is easy to assemble, the power of the suction cup is amazing! This is the best swim platform I have ever bought for my turtle! I have a common musk turtle so they very rarely come out to bask and I tried the floating dock, I built my own slate bridge and then finally decided to give it a try and now she pops up on it quite often. ! She can easily climb it! I definitely recommend it! My girl Squirtle is definitely a lot happier with this platform and it works well because she looks like a mud turtle, they (musk turtles) walk on the bottom more and don't swim very well, in fact she is a terrible swimmer so I can't swim in the water not level is high so i could put this swim platform anywhere and i hold it so that part of the ramp is in the water just enough for her to hold on to and climb up and i have a big slate rock she can use around to help her get on or off, but she goes back into the water when she warms up! I definitely love this thing!
