I replaced my old phone holder with this one because the other one couldn't hold the phone in landscape. You can hold a wide phone on it, but the two small feet at the bottom are not adjustable. So if you have a very large phone like my Pixel 6 Pro, it might feel very large. Terrain works well, but you need to make sure it's compressed well enough. The device can also be easily snapped onto the dashboard. There is no suction cup, so you don't have to worry about it falling off in the middle of your ride.
