The toilet had a phantom flush. So what's the cure? Well, buy a new faucet and your toilet flush ghost is gone. OK, that's exactly what I did. I bought this beautiful dampener, installed it in a few minutes, fiddled with the pointless adjustable device until it worked properly, patted myself on the back for a job well done and left the room. Well it wasn't a long vacation because the new valve kept leaking and flushing the toilet. Sweet. After playing around with the new and amazing new flapper valve, I found that it wasn't airtight. I thought about gluing stacks of washers or quarters onto it to make it heavy enough to seal, but I'm not sure that would work for really long. So now I'm back to buying another brand of crackers. It's not the biggest tragedy of my simple life, but it's annoying as hell. So this is my story. Do not buy this item.
