Review on EBC Brakes DP31357C Redstuff Ceramic by Robert Dabney

I am shocked by this review. Cons: The washers holding the spring cables are very soft. Possibly aluminium. The washers bent enough during installation that I'm concerned about their effectiveness in holding the spring wires. See attached photos. I also have pictures of old pads that show no signs of bending. I expected better quality from expensive high-performance pads. Pros: I took the pads apart and checked their limits. you stop. With authority. After testing to ensure they don't fail due to the aforementioned issues, I can say I'm very happy with the compound and braking capabilities. My daughter complained that I was trying to send her through the windshield. After all, they work fine. At the list price (which I didn't pay; I paid about 1/3 the list price on sale) I figured trying to save a dime on some shims was WEAK at best. Time will tell if they hold up. I drive 30,000 miles a year so quality should show quickly.
