I came across this while looking for a roomy filled egg cup, am very pleased and would recommend it to anyone looking for a whole or half egg cup. It's made of plastic, similar to the clear one found in many storage containers. The clasps snap securely and the handles feel solid and there's no risk of the lid coming off. I love that you can use one to three trays. I've made stuffed eggs out of large eggs and the trays had plenty of vertical spacing so there was no risk of crushing the stuffing.
