This is the first sealant removal tool. Today I finished a week long job removing sealant from a rock hard bathtub. I couldn't have done it without this tool. I bought a lime softener which helped me dissolve it within a week and it alone wasn't enough. I also bought a plastic removal tool that broke within minutes. The other tool I needed was a heat gun to soften it more than a plasticizer. You could perhaps do without a fabric softener, but only with the help of a hair dryer and this tool. What I didn't get were razor blades. This is necessary for a good bond with the old sealant. I vomited too much and jagged. I also used rubber gloves and paper towels. I had mold everywhere so after removing it I killed it and removed it as well. What I haven't used are pliers but I can see what might be needed. This tool can withstand a large load, in addition, it is cheaper. Buy this as your first instrument. Don't think about it. This is the right tool. Get it first!
