front of the dress, hands can get behind the lace, hard to tell if the dress pictured on Revain does but it doesn't look like it so make sure your child does really plays with lace that can tear off. The dress is more of a brown gold than the light gold shown on Revain. This dress has spaghetti straps which doesn't look like it does in the Revain picture and that's ok, be aware. The dress is a little wrinkled from literally taking it out of the box and trying it on. lots of ties (as shown here) all over the dress so the zipper got stuck when I unzipped it to put on my daughter's dress. I didn't know when I unbuttoned it, otherwise I would have gone through this maze of ropes before unbuttoning the dress. The seams indicate that parts of the dress will probably need to be re-sewn. I hope the dress doesn't fall apart as my daughter loved this dress. We bought it for her Christmas dress this year. She is tall for her age but very thin so the dress was too big for her but perfect for her size.
