These cases are not only suitable for straws, but also for transporting toothbrushes etc. The case's inner lining makes it very easy to clean. If you're looking for something completely airtight, this isn't it. Don't put it on a picnic table and don't expect ants to get through the zipper. Nothing bigger than an ant will get through. I don't care because I'm not looking for an absolutely tight seal. Zip lock packs do just that. I just received them. So I can't say anything about durability. But they are well made and I see no reason why they should not work well for a long time. I highly recommend these bags. I will definitely order more for other purposes.
