This is a really cool looking hourglass! I'll never use them to tell time to be honest, but they look really cool! The hourglass arrived very quickly and was packaged very well. Even if this package is dropped from a height of 10 feet, it will not break or tear. I bought a full 10.5 inch hourglass that looks really cool next to our front door. My wife has a lot of different old school style books so we put an hourglass on it and it looks AWESOME! I bought antique gold so it has a nice rustic feel. We were approached by friends, they quickly started playing with the hourglass and gave us all sorts of compliments. This would make a great gift and would look great in any living room, bedroom, basement or office!
